AST sponsors an annual national conference that features renowned public and medical presentations. The five-day event includes targeted workshops for educators, surgical assistants, students and practitioners seeking intensive, hands-on training, as well as education sessions that cover a range of specialty areas. If you are planning to attend please let us know. Some of us officers and board members will be attending and would like to get together to fellowship and discuss efforts. National conference also has a good student track to ease in transition from student to employee. 

Mississippi has six delegate slots and we would like to fill them. Persons considered for the delegate positions must be a CST or CST/CFA (only those certified through NBSTSA formerly known as LCC-ST) and also a member of AST.  Please notify MS AST board of directors of your intent prior to February 1, 2011. The MS AST board of directors will perform the selection and inform the selected persons. These persons must meet with the board to discuss the MS AST procedures process for delegates.
